Emily Plumb is an energetic drama and English teacher who resides in Bay Ridge Brooklyn. Originally from California she is happy to be visiting as a guest artist for the Little Mission Studio’s On Stage! Musical Theatre Camp. Emily’s has worked on numerous independent theatre productions in NYC. Her work has been seen in the NYC Fringe as well as at HERE Arts and the LookingGlass Theatre.  As the Drama Department head at her school, she has done several musical theatre productions in inner city schools. Some of her recent favorites were: Guys and Dolls (2015), Grease (2017) and Chorus Line (2018). Emily believes in helping her students discover how they can best use themselves to tell the stories of the characters they are playing. This involves games and improv that help students grasp an understanding of gesture and movement. Additionally, She utilizes many Stella Adler techniques and Stanislavski techniques in her practice to help students of all ages find the emotion in the words they are performing. Emily has an MA in Performance Studies from NYU TISCH and an MA in Education from Hunter College.
