Summer Camp Interns

Apply for Summer 2024 Intern Positions! 

We’re looking for motivated, enthusiastic, responsible, & musical teens for our Summer Camp Intern positions. You’ll gain valuable experience working with other young musicians & help to keep our summer camp running smoothly! 

Requirements: 

• Rising high school senior (will enter 12th grade in Fall 2024) or recent high school graduate. 
  • Interns under age 18 will need a work permit, usually issued by your school principal or superintendent after being offered a position. Info for SFUSD students is here. 
• Independent, reliable, punctual, & motivated. 
• Can read music & is interested in helping to teach music. 
• Can demonstrate leadership skills. 
• Curious in learning, growing, & is open to feedback. 

Responsibilities: 

• Assisting during Summer Music Camps with teaching, supervising children, general set-up/clean-up for various activities. 
• Playing along with camp students in ensembles & helping to lead sections based on instrument. 
• Assisting LMS Faculty with teaching needs like copying music, setting up activities, moving equipment, etc. 
• Supervising camp Extended Care. 

Dates, Time, & Compensation: 

• Little Mission Band Camp
  • Monday, June 10th – Friday, June 14th
• Hours are 8:45 AM – 6:00 PM*.
  • *Days might end before 6:00 PM & exact end-time depends on needs of students in Extended Care each camp day.
• Compensation is $19/hour.
