Let’s write a musical! Our On Stage! Summer Camp will immerse your child in the creative process of creating a musical-themed showcase combining singing, acting, movement, and improv. Their week will be fun & fast-paced and will include small group and individual teaching with our team of instructors. With guidance, your child will help create their own musical through their own original ideas and contributions. The fun camp environment will encourage originality, creativity, and collaboration with their campmates. A brief placement audition is required for enrollment in On Stage! Summer Camp.

Family and friends are invited to attend the final showcase on Friday, July 26th at 2:00 PM.

Previous Experience:

No experience necessary.

Placement Audition:

A brief placement audition is required for enrollment in On Stage! Summer Camp. Auditions are only to help us gauge current ability and place students in groups appropriate for age and prior experience.

Audition Requirements:

Upon enrolling, students should submit an audition video containing:

• A brief introduction. (“Hi, I’m Bob! The piece I will be performing is . . .”)
• A performance of any musical theatre song you love. You may use a recorded piano accompaniment or backing track, but it is completely acceptable to sing without any piano or a backing track.
  • Please have your song memorized and feel free to act out what you are singing about. We want to see your musical theatre flair!
• Total length of your audition video should not exceed 5 minutes in length.
  • Video taken on a phone or mobile device is completely fine – nothing fancy. 😉
• Deadline for video submission: Monday, July 15th, 2024
  • Submit your video via email or cloud service (GoogleDrive, Dropbox, iCloud, etc.). 

*Students who have taken this camp before do not need to audition.

July 22nd – July 26th, 2024

• Session 1 – Monday, July 22nd, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Session 2 – Tuesday, July 23rd, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Session 3 – Wednesday, July 24th, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Session 4 – Thursday, July 25th, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Session 5 – Friday, July 26th, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Camp Showcase:

*Session 5 is the Final Showcase!  Family and friends welcome to showcase starting at 2:00 PM!

This camp is appropriate for students entering Grades 2 – 9. Students will be broken into appropriate age groups during camp.

Materials:

Students should bring each day: 

• A 3-ring binder for music.
• A snack and/or bag lunch for our midday break. 
• A refillable water bottle. 

Extended Care:

Extended care is available from 8:00 – 9:00 AM and 3:00 – 6:00 PM on Monday through Friday of camp for an additional $15 per hour per child. Extended care hours will be logged, and billed at conclusion of camp.
