Description:

An immersive singing experience for both new or experienced musicians! Students will have the chance to pursue their vocal interests during this week-long, full-day camp which culminates in a showcase at the end of the week for family & friends. 

Each morning, we will focus on a specific singing technique or concept followed by a group song so students can practice their harmonizing skill. Then, we will break into smaller groups to work on Songwriting or Solo Repertoire. Students can choose based on their interests, but as the week progresses, they will choose their primary focus in either Songwriting or Solo Repertoire. All ages will sing together at the beginning of the day, & the second half of the day will be grouped by age. This camp is also great for those who play an instrument and want to learn to sing & play at the same time! 

This is a full-day, in-person camp. Capacity is limited. 

Family and friends are invited to attend the final showcase on Friday, June 27th at 2:00 PM.

Previous Experience:

Students should have at least 2 years prior instruction on their instrument or voice, basic music reading literacy, & must be willing to sing and share their voice with their campmates. 

Placement Audition:

A brief placement audition is required for enrollment in Little Mission Singing Camp. Auditions are only to help us gauge current ability and place students in groups appropriate for age and prior experience.

Audition Requirements:

Upon enrolling, students should submit an audition video containing:

• A brief introduction. (“Hi, I’m Bob! The piece I will be performing is . . .”)
• A performance of any musical theatre song you love. You may use a recorded piano accompaniment or backing track, but it is completely acceptable to sing without any piano or a backing track.
  • Please have your song memorized and feel free to act out what you are singing about. We want to see your musical flair!
• Total length of your audition video should not exceed 5 minutes in length.
  • Video taken on a phone or mobile device is completely fine – nothing fancy. 😉
• Deadline for video submission: Monday, June 15th, 2025
  • Submit your video via email or cloud service (GoogleDrive, Dropbox, iCloud, etc.). 

*Students who have taken this camp before do not need to audition.

• Session 1 – Monday, June 23rd, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Session 2 – Tuesday, June 24th, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Session 3 – Wednesday, June 25th, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Session 4 – Thursday, June 26th, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Session 5 – Friday, June 27th, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Camp Showcase:

*Session 5 is the Final Showcase!  Family and friends welcome to showcase starting at 2:00 PM!

This camp is appropriate for students entering Grades 3 – 10. Students will be broken into appropriate age groups during camp.

Materials:

Students should bring each day: 

• A 3-ring binder for music.
• A snack and/or bag lunch for our midday break. 
• A refillable water bottle. 
• Their instrument, if applicable

Extended Care:

Extended care is available from 8:00 – 9:00 AM and 3:00 – 6:00 PM on Monday through Friday of camp for an additional $15 per hour per child. Extended care hours will be logged, and billed at conclusion of camp.
